​Pioneer Spirit Honoree

PNS President Ron Dyo has been selected as a recipient of the Nisei Week Pioneer Spirit Award, which recognizes and honors leaders in the Southern California Japanese American community. Ron has worked tirelessly for the Pasadena community through the PJCI (President and officer), PNS (President and officer), led the Miss Pasadena JCI Committee, founded the Rising Stars Youth program, assisted the Pasadena-Mishima Sister City Friendship exchange program, and started the very successful "Kids Gone Fishing" event. And as a master chef, Ron has also provided feasts that support many fundraising events around town!
Ron, wife Cindy, and granddaughter Colby rode in a bright red Toyota convertible at the Nisei Week Grand Parade on Sunday.
​He will be recognized at the annual Pioneer Spirit Award Luncheon on August 16th. Click on photo to see more pictures of Ron.
