Apple Picking, 2010
Today a large group of the group got onboard a chartered bus and left for Knaus Ranch in Temecula. The weather was just right for a day in Temecula. Knaus grows dwarf apple trees, so the fruit are easily picked. The rows of apple trees alternated from yellow and red. The seniors were provided shopping bags and they dispursed into the apple orchard to select the best apples.
Members of the PJCI board were available to help carry their harvested apples. Lunch was served in the patio of the apple farm and then the bus headed back to Pasadena.
This is the annual trip hosted by the Pasadena Cultural Institute, it sounds like this group wants to go to the strawberry festival in 2011.
