A Day at the Races
It was a beautiful warm fall day and we had a large group of folks that enjoyed the wonderful meal and view of the mountains from the top floor of the Santa Anita Racetrack. We all learned how to make wagers on the horses.
It was a wonderful day! Hope you join us next year!
In 2016, KEIRO initiated an Inaugural Grants Program designed to engage and support older adult Japanese-Americans in Los Angeles, Orange, and Ventura Counties. Thanks to a grant proposal submitted by Scott Shinmoto, the Pasadena Nikkei Seniors was one of the Keiro Grant recipients, receiving funding to be used for the core operation of its monthly 2017-18 lunch program, including its annual 2018 New Year’s Party. The PNS is very grateful to KEIRO for establishing the Grant Program and thanks KEIRO for selecting us as a grant recipient.
